DCF Design Consultants is a firm of Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers first established in Glasgow in 1987 by founding partners Alistair McVitie and Crawford Farquhar as D.C. Farquhar and Partners and latterly DCF Design Consultants as of July 2010 and since that time has enjoyed a significant volume of varied and interesting commissions from a loyal and expanding client base. The firm was purchased by Macleod + Jordan based in Aberdeen in 2021 broadening our service offering and strengthening our business.

The core business and interest of the Practice is the design and specification of Building Structures to any form and in all structural materials utilising the latest computer software design packages complemented by sound engineering knowledge and experience. Projects include structures relating to commercial, education, healthcare, residential, leisure and industrial property developments, typically of up to £20 million in construction value.

The Practice is active in all sectors throughout the UK and projects have been commissioned and completed from Inverness to Brighton. We aim to achieve close working relationships with Clients, Contractors, Architects and other professionals within a team environment and seek to provide innovative and economic design solutions sympathetic to building function and aesthetic.
